Yes. Your wallet acts as your game account. Connect an Ethereum-compatible wallet in your desktop browser, then sign a message to log in. Signing in is free, and you do not need any cryptocurrency in your wallet to start playing.
Yes! Every account can claim five free Spirits, giving you a complete team to start the Campaign. You can earn rewards, develop your units, and enter tournaments without buying a pass or an Aavegotchi. Optional purchases help you progress and play more, while some activities, such as Arcade, require entry items.
Gotchi Battler is designed for desktop browsers. It can load on a phone or tablet, but the controls and layout are not optimized for smaller screens. For the best experience, play on a computer.
Join the waitlist with the wallet you plan to use for the game. At launch, sign in with that same wallet to claim your Founder Pack in the game. There is one pack per registered wallet, including existing players.
Gotchi Battler uses Base, a network built on Ethereum. Optional crypto purchases use ETH or GHST, the Aavegotchi token, on Base. You can start playing without buying or moving any cryptocurrency.
The Genesis Era’s 74 ETH and 600,000 GHST are already secured in a dedicated wallet controlled by the Aavegotchi DAO, Aavegotchi’s community organization. This funding does not depend on future sales. For future Eras, 50% of Shop revenue funds tournament prize pools and 50% supports development. Arcade is funded separately, with 90% of Arcade Key sales going toward future Arcade prize pools.
Battles use verifiable random numbers from drand, an independent public network, and the battle rules are completely open source. You can check a battle’s random seed and run the same rules yourself to reproduce every turn and the final result from the recorded teams. Learn how to verify a battle
